Local Options for making money with Murco!

Basically, we can divide it into week day or weekend opportunities:

1. Week day: "Murco Scout" – Help us find teardowns/projects for auction
2. Weekend: "Weekend Warrior" – Help us at auction

Be a Murco Scout! (Weekdays)

We're looking for help in identifying potential teardowns in your area. You will be the eyes and ears of Murco so that no house goes down without being assessed for its reuse viability.

How to Scout for Murco

As you drive around town, look for builder signs, real estate signs, demolition signs, etc. that may signify a house will be demolished. Virtually every house in a "hot" neighborhood is a potential teardown. It's all about the lot size so don't hesitate to record the property even if it seems way too nice to go down (that's the type of house we're looking for!) especially if there's new construction on the street.

If the house is already down and a new house is being built, still record that info. We'll contact the builder and pitch for the next one. Foot in the door, baby!

What to do once you have spotted a teardown

Record the following information:

• Address
• Pertinent contact information from the signs (realtor, architect, builder etc)
• Date

Reward for Scouting

If your information leads to an auction we will pay $100 cash in your pocket for your effort. In the unlikely event that we get the same lead from more than one person, the fee will be split. Or, you can "cash in" for at least $100 worth of merchandise out of the property (first dibbies!). It's up to you. There are worse ways to make money, eh?

Weekend Warriors needed for the rough and tumble world of Home Salvage Auctions!

We're seeking creative, outgoing people to staff these kooky live auctions that disperse building materials out of houses before demolition or renovation. We're looking for enthusiastic workers for positions of clerks and auction support staff. Basically, fun people who can work a crowd. Great people skills are a must-- we'll train you on the rest. Schedules are flexible, just let us know the weekends you're available and we'll plug you into a house!

This is a part-time, hourly position.
