A PowerHouse project is an offering of a group of materials out of houses that for one reason or another, could not be run as a full scale auction.
Items finding their way to this section can come from many sources
A typical scenario for a PowerHouse project is when a house changes ownership and the new owners taste does not match that of the sellers. Often, people improve their houses in an effort to sell, so these projects are great opportunities for acquiring complete rooms. For example, you can get an entire kitchen, and I do mean entire…. cabinets, countertops, sink, all appliances and the like for one low price. The same holds true of the bathroom remodels or whatever else we deem you’ll dig. Our preference is to sell the entire room together to the highest bidder, but if we have to break it up in order to move it, we will.
Some of my clients don’t want the attention of a public event (i.e. spectacle), but would still like to see the materials diverted. In situations such as this, we may require you to email us in advance with your interests and bid range. We need to keep out the riff raff and bring in a handful of qualified buyers. The items offered out of these projects are often of the highest caliber.
Many houses I see don’t have enough of what you’re looking for in order to justify a full scale auction. However, there may be a few jewels there that are just too good to pass up. I’ll take the best aspects of the project, and package it up for you nice and neat like.
If you have interest in any project you need to Email us at powerhouse@murco.net with your contact information and your approximate bid range for the items. Many times, we don’t reveal the location of the project to anyone other than those who have been pre-qualified to attend.
