We did an auction here last summer and at the time the paver driveway was not being remodeled. Well, you know how those massive remodeling jobs go…they grow. Oh how they grow. Speaking of grow, so will the value of your home should you be the one to score this driveway!
We’ve got close to 2000 square feet of 6 ¼ x 9 ¼ red and gray concrete pavers with a tumble finish. Grab your bobcat and come a running because this is a steal of a deal! Retail price of the materials run approximately $3.55 per square foot so we’ve got around $7,100 worth of fine materials!
So how do you buy these fantastic pavers? We’ve got two options:
Option #1-- Place a Bid:
Minimum bid for the whole shebang is $2,000. We’d love it if one of you could use it all, but we’d be open to splitting it up should your driveway not be as gargantuan
as this one! If you would like to split it up, make sure you tell us how many square feet you want and your bid for the section.
In order to bid, you’ve got to email the following information to powerhouse@murco.net:
- Your name and phone number
- How much you’re interested in (either “all” or specify amount of square feet)
- Your bid amount
We will be accepting bids on this driveway until March 31, 2010 at 4pm. We’ll then contact all bidders regarding next steps and removal dates.
Option #2-- Buy it Now!
You can buy all the pavers, right now, for $3,000 in a first-come-first-serve eBay-esque “buy it now” sort of deal. This way you won’t have to deal with any opposing bidders and it can be yours RIGHT NOW!
At this time we are uncertain of the exact timing for the removal, but you can start making your plans and we’ll call you when it’s time to clear it out. We obviously want to time it in conjunction with the incoming driveway and we’ll keep you apprised as we get updated.

Coming the last week of March or first week in April. Timing is critical since it’s coming out of a swanky condo and time waits for no cabinets!
Here’s the skinny: we’re looking for a buyer for all available materials, and professional removal will be included. No muss, no fuss, just pick it up when it’s waiting for you at the loading dock. Can we make it any easier for you? Don’t bother answering, that was rhetorical!
Details, details, details:
The kitchen cabinets were custom made and have enough bells and whistles to lead a parade!
Features include: solid wood slide outs, spice drawers, swing outs, and assorted schwing a ding ding extras that ooze quality and you-can’t-afford-it smugness. Please note that the cabinet handles are not for sale, though you will see them in the pictures. Cabinets are an off-white color and are topped with beautiful granite countertops. We don’t have the actual sizes of the granite pieces—I know, I messed up. Not the first time, not the last. There are only 2 wall cabinets, both with striated glass inserts and one of the cabinets being double sided. So, if you have a space that can accommodate an abundance of lowers you will be one happy camper.
This kitchen has two stainless sinks with KWC fixtures; one is a 15” round and the other is a double bowl. There is also a hot and cold water dispenser with a water filter system that will make the claim that “our local water is perfectly safe” actually true! Also has a phenomenal KWC pot filler fixture that doubles as a self defense device (just kidding… but just for safety, I wouldn’t go creeping up on grandma when she’s cooking!).
Additional appliances: Sub Zero 632F side by side fridge from 2000. The rest of the appliances are about 15 years old, but they look brand spankin’ new! We’ve got a Thermador stainless warming drawer, KitchenAid Thermo/Convection Superba IC oven (model #KEBN107YSBO), and a Dacor stainless gas stove top.
