As a leading expert in building waste diversion, Jodi has helped redistribute thousands of tons of high-end materials from homes headed for the landfill. Her iconic humor and energy make live-auctions a thrill, and her tack-sharp wit and can-do vibe have become the foundation of Murco’s positive attitude.
Jodi had earned industry-wide recognition throughout her 26 years in the business, including an induction into the National Environmental Hall of Fame in 2008. She was the host and star of the television show “Total Wrecklamation,” (2008) a series about Murco’s recycling efforts. When Jodi’s not at the helm of Murco auctions, she lends her auctioneering skills to many charity benefits in the Chicagoland area.

Jodi founds Murco. She is a new homeowner & when a neighbor’s historic house is being demolished next door she fixes up her fixer-upper with the materials.
Murco wins the Outstanding Recycler Recognition from the Illinois Recycling Association.

Jodi is still living in the same fixer-upper house that inspired her business in 1989. But these days, it’s been “fixed up” many times over. All with reused materials, of course.
